Discussion of the hadith: “Whoever prays forty prayers in this mosque of mine will be written for him a certificate of freedom from hypocrisy and a certificate of freedom from the Fire.”

Whoever prays forty prayers in this mosque of mine will be written for him a certificate of freedom from hypocrisy and a certificate of freedom from the Fire من صلى في مسجدي هذا أربعين صلاة كُتبت له براءة من النفاق وبراءة من النار
. This hadith is denounced and is not authentic from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). Among the effects of this weak, denounced hadith is that it also distorts the virtues prescribed by the Shari'ah. You find the masses of residents and pilgrims staying in Madinah longer than they stay in Makkah. Here, unfortunately, the saying of Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He) regarding the Jews applies to them:
Would you exchange what is better for what is less? أتستبدلون الذي هو أدنى بالذي هو خير
[Al-Baqarah 2:61]
This is part of imitating the Jews and the Christians. This is the extremism in religion...
