Is it permissible to seek aid through the words of Allah?

The questioner : Yesterday, a man asked me, saying, "Is it permissible for us to seek aid by the words of Allah, to say: 'O Word of Allah'?" I told him, "The forms of seeking aid that are transmitted from the Salaf and from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and from the prophets are sufficient for you, so why do you come with this form of seeking aid that has not been transmitted?"

The Shaykh : In truth, standing firm with the texts of the Shari'ah, especially in matters of worship, brings peace to the soul and tranquility to the heart.
