Do those who love each other in this world meet in the Hereafter as they do in this world?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Do those who love each other in this world meet in the Hereafter as they do in this world?

The Shaykh : If they are among the people of Paradise and the righteous, they will meet in the Hereafter, and the affection between them will not vanish, as Allah the Exalted said:
Close friends, that Day, will be enemies to each other, except for the righteous الأَخِلَّاءُ يَوْمَئِذٍ بَعْضُهُمْ لِبَعْضٍ عَدُوٌّ إِلَّا الْمُتَّقِينَ
[Az-Zukhruf 43:67]
But if they are among the wretched, may Allah protect us from that, then the friends of this world will be enemies in the Hereafter, as indicated by this verse:
Close friends, that Day, will be enemies to each other, except for the righteous الأَخِلَّاءُ يَوْمَئِذٍ بَعْضُهُمْ لِبَعْضٍ عَدُوٌّ إِلَّا الْمُتَّقِينَ
[Az-Zukhruf 43:67]
.
On this occasion, I advise my Muslim brothers to choose their friends, companions, and associates carefully, and not to keep company with anyone except one who is known for good and distance from evil, known for righteousness and uprightness and distance from pitfalls. For a person is upon the religion of his close friend, and if a person keeps company with someone upright in his religion and character, he acquires religion and character from him. And if he keeps company with someone who is the opposite, he acquires from him what he was upon.
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave an example of the righteous companion and the bad companion, saying:
The example of the righteous companion is like the carrier of musk: either he sells it to you, or he gives you a piece of it, or you find a pleasant scent from him. And the example of the bad companion is like the bellower of the bellows: either he burns your clothes, or you find a foul smell from him.
.
Many people worship Allah upon a hair, meaning they are not upright as they should be. If they are granted companions of good character and religion, Allah guides them and they become upright. And how many people are on a level of good and righteous work, but if they are abandoned and keep company with someone who is not upright, they acquire from him a lack of uprightness, and much deviation occurs for them. Yes.

The questioner : May Allah bless you. The listener Ali Ibrahim from Riyadh says.
