The lower does not affect the higher, so it forbids this and that, O you who are in the state of deprivation (Explanation that one of the consequences of prioritizing worldly life is being deprived of both this world and the Hereafter, and if one prioritizes the Hereafter, he succeeds in both this world and the Hereafter)

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :"so it forbids this and that, O you who are in the state of deprivation"
It forbids this, meaning: the higher and the lower, because whoever prioritizes worldly life is deprived of both this world and the Hereafter, because he did not benefit from his worldly life, and his worldly life will be cut off and vanish. And if he prioritizes the Hereafter over this world, he profits in both this world and the Hereafter. For this reason, Allah (Mighty and Majestic) swore by time, saying:
(1) By time, (2) Indeed, mankind is in loss, (3) Except for those who have believed and done righteous deeds and advised each other to truth and advised each other to patience. والعصر * إن الإنسان لفي خسر * إلا الذين آمنوا وعملوا الصالحات وتواصوا بالحق وتواصوا بالصبر
[Al-'Asr 103:1-3]
