The Meaning of the Saying of Allah the Exalted: "So remind, for the reminder will benefit."

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Then He said:
So remind, if the reminder should benefit; فذكر إن نفعت الذكرى
[Al-A'la 87:9]
Remind the people with what Allah has revealed to you from the Book of Allah, but if the reminder benefits. Regarding this phrase, some scholars said: "Its meaning is to remind in all circumstances", which is like saying, "Teach so-and-so if knowledge benefits him," and it is known that it benefits
remind, if the reminder should benefit; ذكر إن نفعت الذكرى
[Al-A'la 87:9]
And some scholars said: "Rather, it is conditional, and the meaning is to remind in the situation where the reminder is beneficial. As for when one has despaired and does not hope that people will remember, then do not remind those from whom you do not hope that they will remember"
But the first opinion is better
remind, if the reminder should benefit; ذكر إن نفعت الذكرى
[Al-A'la 87:9]
