The Meaning of the Saying of Allah the Exalted: "He has succeeded who purifies himself and remembers the name of his Lord and prays."

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Then He the Exalted said:
(14) He has certainly succeeded who purifies himself (15) And mentions the name of his Lord and prays. قد أفلح من تزكى . وذكر اسم ربه فصلى
[Al-A'la 87:14-15]
"Indeed, he has succeeded who purifies himself." The word "succeeded" is a comprehensive term for attaining what is sought and escaping what is feared; it is happiness.
Who purifies himself من تزكى
That is, whoever purifies his soul and cleanses it from shirk (associating partners with Allah), as He the Exalted said:
He has succeeded who purifies it, and he has failed who withholds it. قد أفلح من زكاها وقد خاب من دساها
And mentions the name of his Lord and prays. وذكر اسم ربه فصلى
[Al-A'la 87:15]
He mentioned the name of his Lord in what? It means he remembered Allah (Mighty and Majestic), so he magnified Him and stood to pray, because prayer includes the remembrance of Allah (Mighty and Majestic) and restrains from indecency and wrongdoing.
