The Meaning of the Saying of Allah the Exalted: "Say: He is Allah, the One. Allah, the Self-Sufficient"

The Shaykh : And the address in it is to whom? [Al-Ikhlas 112:1] The address in it is to the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), and the address is to a Messenger for him and for the Ummah meaning He is One, (Exalted and Majestic is He), in His essence, in His names, in His attributes, and in His rulings. He has the judgment, He has the command, He has the creation, and He has the management. So He is One in everything. Al-Samad means the Perfect in His attributes. So He is Al-Samad, the One who is self-sufficient regarding others, while all His creations are in need of Him. All the creatures turn to Him for their needs. For this reason, some of the scholars said in its interpretation: "Al-Samad is the One to whom the creatures turn for their needs". For this reason, a person does not find anyone to turn to for his needs except Allah. It is a matter innate in human nature. Even the disbeliever, when a wave like dark clouds overtakes them, whom do they call upon? They call upon Allah. It is an innate matter, an innate command, that a person turns to Allah (Mighty and Majestic) in all his needs. And whoever turns to Allah in his needs with a correct turning, displaying his need for Allah, and being certain of the power of Allah and the response of Allah, then his need will be fulfilled in all cases. But what is lacking for us is sincerity. Either there is something wrong with our turning to Allah, or there is something wrong with our belief in His promise, and we miss out on much good. Otherwise, whoever turns to Allah with sincerity and pure intention, Allah will protect him. For this reason, the sword of the Messenger was hanging on the tree. If we look at what the situation demands, who would prevent him? There was no one around the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) from among the people. The sword was in his hand, and he was an enemy who could harm the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him). He said: Glory be to Allah, the truth. And whoever wants to look into such situations, let him refer to the book al-Furqan by Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah, "Between the Friends of the Most Merciful and the Friends of Satan." In it, he mentioned strange things that happened to some of the righteous Salaf.
So the conclusion is that we say: What is its meaning? The Perfect in His attributes, the One to whom all His creations turn for their needs. [Al-Ikhlas 112:3-4]. "He begets not, nor was He begotten" is a refutation of what the Christians claimed and what they claimed...
Say, "He is Allah, [who is] One,
Allah is One
Allah, the Self-Sufficient
When a man from among the polytheists came and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was sleeping under a tree, he took the sword
He took the sword and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) woke up, and the polytheist man said: "Who will prevent you from me?"
Who will prevent you from me
Allah will prevent you from me
When he said that, the sword fell from the man's hand... and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) took it
So the conclusion is that we say:
