The Meaning of al-Samad

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
One of the female listeners says: The sender (S. F.) asks about the meaning of al-Samad?

Answer:
Al-Samad: The scholars have explained it with two meanings. The first is that He is the One who has no interior; He is not of the kind of created beings. A created being has an interior; it eats and drinks and is fed, but Allah has no interior; He is self-sufficient, as the Exalted said: (Al-Samad), and all of it is explained by Al-Samad. Al-Samad is also explained with another meaning: that the creation turns to Him for their needs, hopes in Him, asks Him, and supplicates to Him for their needs, Glorified is He. All of this is true. He is Al-Samad who has no interior, and He is Al-Samad to whom needs are raised (Exalted and Majestic is He):
Say, "He is Allah, [who is] One,قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ ۝
[Al-Ikhlas 112:1]
Allah, the Self-Sufficient [Al-Ikhlas: 1-2]. If you want to say to the intended leaders: Samad; because He is the one sought for the fulfillment of needs, and Allah, Glorified is He, is the One sought by all creation... for the fulfillment of needs, and He, Glorified is He... does not eat, nor does He need food, nor drink, nor is He of the kind of created beings... or need a meal, rather He is rich in Himself of everything other than Him, and He feeds but is not fed. Yes.

The presenter : May Allah reward you with good, and may He do you good.
