The Meaning of the Poet's Statement: "Except for the Majus, for they said: *** That the Creator of evil is a second god"

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : The Majus say that the world has two creators: light and darkness. Whatever good is in it is created from the light, and whatever evil is in it is created from the darkness. And with this, they do not affirm that these two gods are equal; rather, they say that the light is better than the darkness, better than the darkness. They also say that the light is ancient, meaning it is not created, while the darkness is created. Some of them say that it is ancient. Therefore, no one among creation has ever said that the world has two equal creators forever. Yes.
