The Shaykh :"And likewise faith in the heart of the young man *** Light upon light with the Qur'an"
Also, among the light is what Allah the Exalted places in the heart of the servant, which is a created, spiritual light that Allah the Exalted places in the human heart. When the light of the Qur'an is added to it, it becomes light upon light. This light of the heart reveals to the person knowledge and insights that are not attained by others, to the extent that he derives several issues and rulings from a single piece of evidence, whereas others do not derive them from multiple pieces of evidence. This is by what Allah casts into his heart of light. Among this is what happened to 'Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) in his agreement with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in several issues, indeed in his agreement with Allah, and also what happened to Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) in the most difficult situations that occurred for the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him). But the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) answered him with an answer that was exactly like Abu Bakr's answer, because when 'Umar saw that he had not convinced the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), he went to Abu Bakr hoping he would help him convince the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him). Abu Bakr's answer was exactly like the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) answer. This is from the light that Allah places in the heart of the believer. For this reason, among the supplication of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) when he goes out to pray is that he says:
