(Discussion of the paired names of Allah, which are not to be used in isolation because they imply a deficiency, such as al-Mani' al-Mu'ti [The Preventer, The Giver] and al-Nafi' al-Dari [The Benefactor, The Harmer]) This is among His names what is not

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
The author (may Allah have mercy on him) says: Among the names of Allah are names that are paired: meaning they are not to be said except in conjunction with another, because if they are isolated, they imply a deficient meaning, as the author says, yes:
"This is among His names what is not returned, but rather it is said when it comes in a pair:
And it is that which is called by its duals, for its singularity is dangerous for man."

And it is dangerous for the human being because it implies a deficiency.
"At that time, it suggests a kind of deficiency, but the Lord of the Throne is free from any defect and from any deficiency."
