If the necessary implication of a statement is not the statement of the person, then we cannot obligate anyone with that statement.

The questioner : May Allah reward you. Does this mean that we cannot obligate anyone with a statement if this necessary implication is not his statement?

The Shaykh : If he does not adhere to it, we do not obligate him. But if he does not adhere to it while the implication is clear, he is being stubborn.

The questioner : The implication may be clear.

The Shaykh : The known implication may be clear. Those who say that Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) does not have any attribute, from the necessary implication of that, it follows that He is described with... deficiency. Initially, He has no attribute... They may not adhere to it; they may see that negating attributes is perfection. But are they to be obeyed in this? No, they are not to be obeyed.

The questioner : The necessary implication of the speech of Allah and His Messenger. We said this is a statement.

The Shaykh : Yes.

The questioner : Fine. The scholars differed on it, so how do we make it a statement?

The Shaykh : Even if they differed, the difference is weak. And for this reason, the scholars continue to derive from the speech of Allah and His Messenger many things, many rulings, all of which are by necessary implication. Yes.
