And you made his followers what you conceal*** out of fear of openly declaring disbelief (and the meaning of "what you conceal")

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :
"And you made his followers what you conceal*** out of fear of openly declaring disbelief"
Yes, this word has baffled me. What did I say?
The student: ... .

The Shaykh : How?
The student: ... .

The Shaykh : A name.
The student: ... .

The Shaykh : Does the meaning make sense?
"And you made", meaning what you conceal, i.e., you made the followers of this man. But why did he say "out of fear of openly declaring disbelief"? You made such a man... .
The student: ... .

The Shaykh : And you made—now the address is to the *Mu'attilah* (those who deny the divine attributes).
"You made his followers", followers of whom? Followers of the Messenger. "What you conceal out of fear of openly declaring disbelief". We conceal, meaning, in my view, we do not conceal out of fear of openly declaring disbelief. As for you, in any case, you made his followers, the followers of the Messenger, disbelievers because you hold that ascribing a body to Allah is disbelief and affirming the attributes is disbelief. It follows from this that whoever affirms the attributes is a disbeliever in your view. By declaring disbelief, by declaring disbelief, it is closer to the truth if we take "what we conceal" to be the name of a man. Well, he said: By Allah, it makes sense. There is no harm. It makes sense. It is better than stopping there and saying, "By Allah, we do not know its meaning."
