That war intensified between our faction *** and your faction, and the two matters escalated, and that enmity took root between us *** from the day Allah commanded Satan to prostrate, but he disobeyed

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :
"That war intensified between our faction *** and your faction, and the two matters escalated"
Yes
"And that enmity took root between us *** from the day Allah commanded Satan"
Yes, yes "from the day Allah commanded Satan
to prostrate, but he disobeyed and opposed His command *** with his reasoning and his treacherous intellect"

This is a good analogy, meaning that the enmity between us and you dates back to that time, when Satan disobeyed his Lord when He commanded him to prostrate. The command to prostrate was based on revelation and transmission, and this command was opposed with what? With false reasoning and a deluded intellect. When Satan was commanded to prostrate to Adam, he said:
I am better than him. You created me from fire and created him from clay." أنا خير منه خلقتني من نار وخلقته من طين
[Al-A'raf 7:12]
And when these people said that Allah the Exalted said:
to that which I created with My hands لما خلقت بيدي
[Sad 38:75]
they said, "Allah does not have a hand; this is impossible," whereas the intended meaning of "hand" is power. When He said He rose above the Throne, they said it is impossible for Him to rise above the Throne, whereas the intended meaning of "rising" is establishing dominion. Thus, they opposed the transmitted text with their perceived reason, just as Iblis opposed the transmitted text with what he considered reason, which was not true reason.
