The author (may Allah have mercy on him) said:
"O Lord, the servants are bewildered by the intellect of the one who weighs Your revelation, so bring the scale"
This is a refutation of those who use reason to judge in the matter of the attributes, saying: By whose intellect do we weigh what is obligatory for Allah and what is impossible for Him? By the intellect of Zayd, or the intellect of 'Abd, or the intellect of Khalid, or the intellect of Bakr? By whose intellect? Therefore, there is no recourse to intellects; the recourse is to what came in the two revelations, the Book and the Sunnah. For this reason, the author said:
"O Lord, and by the intellect of the one who judges You, for all of them"
Meaning: By the intellect of the one who judges You, meaning: by what You deserve in terms of attributes and actions. So who is the owner of the intellect who judges You?
"For all of them have come with the rational and the proof"
With the rational according to their claim, and the proof is the argument. However, they have no argument; all their arguments are doubts and are not proofs.
