(Explanation of the benefits of mentioning the attributes of Allah, Mighty and Majestic, for the servant, which are knowing Him with the heart and tongue and loving Him) so that He becomes known to us by His attributes*** and so that He becomes mentioned by us

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :
"So that He becomes known to us by His attributes" So that whom? The Lord, Mighty and Majestic, becomes known to us by His attributes.
"And so that He becomes mentioned by us with our hearts" And so that He becomes mentioned by us with our tongues as well, and for the sake of loving Him. Yes, these are the benefits of mentioning the attributes of Allah, Mighty and Majestic.
"So that He becomes known" This means in detail as well as in general. For the innate knowledge of the Creator, Allah has taken a covenant from us regarding what He has instilled in our fitrah (innate natural disposition) of knowing Him, Mighty and Majestic. But you do not know Allah in detail except through the path of revelation.
Also, He becomes mentioned by us with our hearts. "Hearts" means the heart, and it is called "hearts" (jinnan) because it is hidden. The root of the word, the letter jīm and nūn, indicates concealment. And likewise, He becomes mentioned by us with our tongues; we mention Him, Mighty and Majestic, with our names and attributes with our tongues.
The fourth is that we love Him, Blessed and Exalted is He, because the more we mention these attributes, the more we love Him. We love Him for the perfection of His favor and the completeness of His justice. And all of this is known from His attributes, Blessed and Exalted is He.
"For the sake of this affirmation in faith
It is like the foundation of the building"

This means that the affirmation in faith has become like the foundation of the building; it is the foundation of faith.
"So whoever throws*** to demolish the foundation, what about the building?" If one demolishes the foundation, does the building remain or not? It does not remain. So the one who intends to demolish the foundation means that nothing of the building remains.
