The Jahmi is named after al-Jahm ibn Safwan, who was a student of Ja'd ibn Dirham, and Ja'd ibn Dirham was the first to speak of denial of the divine attributes, because Ja'd ibn Dirham said two things: he said that Allah did not take Ibrahim as a friend and did not speak to Musa with direct address. Al-Jahm ibn Safwan took this from him and spread it, so it was attributed to him. It is said about this Ja'd that Khalid ibn 'Abd Allah al-Qasri, one of the governors of the Umayyads, took him out bound in chains to the Eid prayer ground and said: "O people, sacrifice so that Allah may accept your sacrifices, for I am sacrificing Ja'd ibn Dirham, for he claimed that Allah did not take Ibrahim as a friend and did not speak to Musa with direct address" Then he came down and slaughtered him. Previously, in the time of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), they would take their sacrificial animals to the Eid prayer ground to slaughter them there, and some would slaughter in their homes in order to display the ritual of slaughter for Allah (Mighty and Majestic) and in order to feed the poor from it. Ibn al-Qayyim says in *al-Nuniyyah*:
"And for this reason Khalid al-Qasri sacrificed Ja'd*** on the day of sacrificial offerings
When he said Ibrahim is not his friend*** no, nor is Musa the one spoken to near
The victim thanks every follower of the Sunnah *** May Allah reward you, my brother, the one who is near.

Good, al-Jahm was his student and he spread his doctrine.
