Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : He said, may Allah have mercy on him:
"A thing necessitates many implications *** for the one who is expert in it and possesses knowledge
So to the extent of that report"
meaning knowledge
"he counts its imp***lications, and this is clear in explanation"
A thing, and by "thing" he means the word, which necessitates many implications. But the one who knows these implications is the expert in the implications of necessity. For example, Allah the Mighty and Majestic said:
Allah is the Creator of all things الله خالق كل شيء
[Ar-Ra'd 13:16]
And what do you understand from this? That Allah is the Creator. Do we understand the attribute of creation, or not? Do we not understand the attribute of creation? Do we understand something else? Yes, we understand something else by necessity. Creation must have power. So the verse indicates the power of Allah. We understand a second thing, which is knowledge. We understand a second thing, which is knowledge, because it is not possible to create without knowledge.
Does He who created not know, while He is the Subtle, the Acquainted? ألا يعلم من خلق وهو اللطيف الخبير
[Al-Mulk 67:14]
We understand a third thing, which is will. It is not possible to create without will. We understand a fourth thing, which is choice. Choice and will are one. Wisdom, I do not know.
The student: ...

The Shaykh : Life, life, correct, because the dead do not create. Good.
The student: ...

The Shaykh : It is not clear. No, it is not from the verse, it is not from the verse. Good. Do we understand from it the dependence of creation upon Allah? Yes, and the self-sufficiency of Allah from them. And perhaps if you reflect, you will find many benefits in these implications. Did we take these from the implication of the word by definition or by necessity? By necessity? We did not take from the implication of the word by definition except one attribute, which is creation only, and the rest is all from necessity. People differ greatly in this necessity, as the author said, may Allah have mercy on him. It is not possible to set two limits for it.
