After the child was weaned, he suffered from diarrhea that led to his death. Is there anything required of his parents?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : After the child was weaned, he suffered from diarrhea that led to his death. Is there anything required of his parents?

The Shaykh : This requires investigation into what caused this diarrhea. Was it due to giving him food that he could not tolerate?
If it is known that the cause of this diarrhea was the action of the mother or the father, then the one responsible owes an expiation, which is freeing a slave. If he does not find one, he must fast two consecutive months. And his family (the 'aqilah) must pay the blood money for this child.

The questioner : May Allah bless you.
