Discussion of the addition (of the night) in the hadith (When you hear the crowing of the rooster, ask Allah for His bounty).

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : So when I hear the crowing of the rooster, or for example the braying of a donkey, I act upon the hadith, but the soul says the task is long, and the mind responds and says
and they greet with a greeting ويسلموا تسليما
Today we stopped at a narration in al-Adab al-Mufrad of al-Bukhari
When you hear the crowing of roosters إذا سمعتم صياح الديك بالليل
Sahih al-Bukhari 3303
and in a narration
from the night من الليل
if it is morning, it becomes a condition, but this is found in al-Adab al-Mufrad of al-Bukhari and not in Sahih al-Bukhari and not in Sahih Muslim, and I have been for a long time in the process of dividing al-Adab al-Mufrad of al-Bukhari into authentic and weak, as we did with the four Sunan, so my brother drew my attention to the fact that here in this addition
from the night من الليل
if this requires verification, especially since the commentator I know, some of you know Muhammad 'Abd al-Baqi, who extracted the hadith at the bottom, said al-Bukhari extracted it in the Beginning of Creation and Muslim in the Book of Dhikr and Du'a, but this is not found in the two Sahihs, nor is it found in the rest of the books of the Sunan, they all narrated it from one shaykh and with one chain, and that is Qutaybah ibn Sa'id, so the matter requires new effort, and indeed, praise be to Allah, meaning finally, from morning until evening, I recorded this observation, and it became clear that three of the trustworthy narrators agreed and converged on this addition, contrary to Qutaybah ibn Sa'id, so I wondered in my heart why the two imams al-Bukhari, the answer was of course this is what happened to them, but we continued in our question, why did he not extract this hadith in al-Mustadrak of al-Hakim onThe Shaykh : and it is right that he should extract such a thing, so I answered myself with myself as well, how much did the first leave for the last, so I wanted to convey to you at the earliest opportunity that presented itself this benefit, and let the witness inform the absent.

The questioner : Our Shaykh, in it ... .

The Shaykh : In it, but why didn't we mention the agreed-upon hadith that mentions the rooster and the donkey, there is another hadith that was reported in it regarding barking, but the chain is not authentic.

The questioner : Meaning, if we hear the barking of the dog, we do not seek refuge.

The Shaykh : No, you are asking, no, I thought you were saying about the barking regarding the condition of the night, as for seeking refuge, yes.

The questioner : Meaning, night and day for the dog.

The Shaykh : The condition is for the two matters mentioned earlier.

The questioner : The rooster and the donkey.

The Shaykh: Yes.
Abu Layla : Our Shaykh, specifying it to the night, meaning we answer this, may Allah reward you with good.

The questioner : The dog barks at night more than during the day, so it did not bring a condition.

The Shaykh : Yes, indeed, glory be to Allah.
Abu Layla : But they will come later.

The Shaykh : Allah knows best, we are speaking.

The questioner : Regarding the rooster and the donkey, it is specific to the night, and the barking of the dog is night and day.

The Shaykh : It remains with the general text, oh generous one.
