That is, Shaykh, we understand from this statement that the words of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) (Turn away from me, for you have not been afflicted with shirk) are specific to him (peace and blessings be upon him)

The questioner : That is, Shaykh, do we understand from this statement that the words of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)
Present your ruqyah to me, as long as it does not contain shirk أعرضوا عليّ رقاكم مالم تكن شركا
are specific to him (peace and blessings be upon him)?

The Shaykh : No, no, it is specific to the dhikr and recitations that the ruqyah practitioner uses, that they be free from seeking help from other than Allah. It is not the action that you intended.

The questioner : Okay, for example, if in these days it is established that certain tangible medicines actually harm the jinn, or the jinn are harmed by them, or they dislike their smell, and so on, and they leave because of them, can we say that they are permissible?

The Shaykh : No, no, my brother, perhaps I did not make it clear. The jinn, my brother, are from the unseen world, so we cannot say that the jinn are harmed by such-and-such or rejoice in such-and-such. How do we know? How do we know? We only know that we hear the address of Satan as he shouts like this.
