The questioner : Regarding Ruqyah, we know that Ruqyah with al-Fatihah is based on the hadith of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) when he said:
Or did you make partners with Him أو جعلتم معها شيء
However, some people say that Ruqyah is done with the entire Qur'an, or with specific parts of the Qur'an, such as the ends of such-and-such a surah and the beginnings of such-and-such a surah, or by saying, for example, "I have bound you with Nūn against the jinn possessing the afflicted person," or with specific parts of the Qur'an. What is the definitive ruling on this, since we have heard many opinions?

The Shaykh : As was mentioned regarding some of the issues just cited, it is not permissible to specify something with something else except by an explicit text from the Noble Qur'an. This is because we cannot say that such-and-such a surah contains such-and-such a secret except by a text from Allah and His Messenger. Otherwise, it is arbitrary human assumption that falls under the category of
