The questioner : The punishment for the killer in Islam is known, but what is the punishment for the one who incites to murder, knowing that the one who incites to murder is the father of the killer, and the son who killed feared for his father from imprisonment or execution?

The Shaykh : Repeat it for me.

The questioner : What is the punishment for the one who incites to murder, knowing that the one who incites to murder is the father of the killer, and the son who killed feared for his father from imprisonment or execution?

The Shaykh : So what did he do?

The questioner : So he killed, and Allah knows best.

The Shaykh : In any case, the important part of the question is the incitement. Whoever incites to the killing of a believing soul without right is undoubtedly a partner in the sin. But is he killed? If he participated in the killing with the killer, there is no doubt that he is killed. As for mere incitement by words, I do not know of anything that obligates his killing by the Shari'ah.
