Is it permissible to expel jinn from a disbeliever, even if this expulsion helps him embrace Islam?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Is it permissible to expel jinn from a disbeliever, even if this expulsion helps him embrace Islam?

The Shaykh : We see that what has spread in this time, regarding the focus on the topic of jinn possessing humans and adopting many means, most of which are not prescribed, including addressing the jinn possessing a human and asking him, "Are you a Muslim or a disbeliever, and what is the reason you are possessing?" You know the details better than I do. This is not prescribed. All that came in the Shari'ah that is permissible is only for the Muslim to recite some verses or some surahs over the possessed person to expel the jinn from him, and nothing more. As for questioning, interrogating, or seeking their help, this is not permissible. This is contrary to the saying of Allah, the Exalted:
And there were men from mankind who sought refuge in men from the jinn, so they [only] increased them in burden. وأنّه كان رجال من الإنس يعوذون برجال بالجن فزادوهم رهقا
[Al-Jinn 72:6]
Our Lord, the Exalted, narrates in Surat al-Jinn about the jinn that they spoke and said:
And there were men from mankind who sought refuge in men from the jinn وأنه كان رجال من الإنسن يعوذون برجال بالجن
[Al-Jinn 72:6]
meaning they sought support from them, asking them for victory and strength so that no one would transgress against them. Thus, it was the humans seeking the help of the jinn.
