If a man dies as a martyr while in a state of major ritual impurity, is he washed or not?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : The questioner says: It is known that a martyr is not washed. So if he is martyred while in a state of major ritual impurity, is he washed or not?

The Shaykh : Yes, if a person is martyred while in a state of major ritual impurity, some scholars said that he is washed, and some said that he is not washed. The correct view is that he is not washed, because martyrdom expiates everything, and the washing of one in a state of major ritual impurity is only done if he intends to pray. The one who has been killed does not intend to pray. Allah the Exalted said:
O you who have believed, when you rise to [perform] prayer, wash your faces and your forearms to the elbows and wipe over your heads and wash your feet to the ankles. And if you are in a state of janabah, then purify yourselves
[Al-Ma'idah 5:6]
When? When we stand up for prayer. And the dead do not stand up for prayer. And what is narrated that 'Abdullah ibn Hanzah, or Hanzah ibn 'Abdullah—I have forgotten—which the angels washed, that does not indicate the obligation of washing a martyr if he is in a state of major ritual impurity, because the angels washing him is a matter of honor, and it is a hidden matter that is not established for the living who are commanded to testify, or not established for the dead who is before us and his command is to testify.
This is the last question in this session, and tomorrow is Friday, and delivering lessons prevents you from advancing to the Friday prayer. Advancing to the Friday prayer is for the one who bathes in his house and goes in the first hour, as if he has brought near, O Abu 'Abd al-'Aziz, how much?
The student : A camel.

The Shaykh : A camel, and in the second hour?
The student : A cow.

The Shaykh : A cow, and in the third hour?
The student : A ram.

The Shaykh : The third hour!
The student : A ram...

The Shaykh : In the third hour, a horned ram?!
The student : We will see you in good health.

The Shaykh : And in the fourth hour a chicken, and in the fifth hour an egg.
