What is the ruling on women visiting the grave of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and the Rawdah?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : May Allah reward you. A questioner is asking about women visiting the grave of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him).

The Shaykh : Yes, what do you say? The question is directed to you now. You?

The questioner : I have no opinion in your presence.

The Shaykh : Yes.

The questioner : I have no opinion in your presence.

The Shaykh : No, I asked you to speak. Yes, this question was not intended; it was meant to drive sleep away from you. Rest. I will give the answer to this, and perhaps one of you will answer. Please, go ahead.
The student: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) prohibited visiting graves in general, then permitted it for men and prohibited it for women, as he (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
May Allah curse the women who visit the graves لعن الله زوارات القبور
.

The Shaykh : Yes, a woman’s visit to the cemetery is forbidden because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) cursed those who visit graves, and cursing is expulsion and distance from the mercy of Allah. There is no curse for an act except for major sins. For this reason, the scholars said: “Every sin whose punishment is a curse is among the major sins”. As for women visiting the grave of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), some scholars hold that there is no harm in a woman visiting the grave of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him and his family), because her visit to his grave is not a true visit. How so? The grave is surrounded by separate walls, so even if she stands near it intending to visit, she has not visited the grave; there are walls between her and the grave. As Ibn al-Qayyim said: “It is surrounded by three walls”. There are walls between her and it, and she is not like one who stands over the grave with nothing separating her from it. For this reason, some scholars excluded this visit and said that it is not truly a visit, because the woman does not come into direct contact with the grave. However, there is no doubt that the precaution and the better course is that she not visit. We tell the woman: Be easy on yourself. If you say, “Peace be upon you, O Prophet, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings,” there are trusted ones who convey this greeting to whom? To the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him). He said:
Your greetings of peace reach me wherever you are. إن تسليمكم يبلغني أينما كنتم
. So even if she is as far as possible from the grave, if she sends greetings to the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), the greetings will reach him. Let her be easy on herself and know that, praise be to Allah, she has not been deprived of the good. Yes.

The questioner : The Rawdah.

The Shaykh : Yes.

The questioner : The Rawdah, visiting.

The Shaykh : What?

The questioner : The Noble Rawdah.

The Shaykh : The Rawdah, the Rawdah. There is no visiting in the Rawdah. The Messenger (may the prayer and peace of Allah be upon him) said regarding it:
The area between my house and my Minbar is one of the gardens of Paradise. ما بين بيتي ومنبري روضة من رياض الجنة
Sunan an-Nasa'i 695Sahih (Darussalam)
. This is general for men and women. Yes.
