What is the ruling on women visiting the grave of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : May Allah reward you. A questioner asks about the ruling on women visiting the grave of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), knowing that most women do not come for the purpose of praying in the Raudah, but rather to visit the grave.

The Shaykh : Yes. There is scholarly disagreement on this issue.
First: Is it permissible for a woman to visit graves in general, or is it not? The correct view is that it is forbidden, and that it is not permissible for a woman to visit graves.
Second: Is visiting the grave of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) considered a visit to his grave, or is it not? This is based on the fact that the grave of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is not prominent or exposed; there are three walls between us and it. Therefore, visiting it is not a true visit to the grave due to the barrier. In any case, we see that the most cautious course regarding a woman’s visit to the grave of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is that she should not visit it. Safety is better than falling into what is doubtful. And praise be to Allah, if a woman says, “Peace be upon you, O Prophet,” even if she is in the farthest east or west, Allah has appointed angels to carry this greeting to whom? To the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). There is no need to come to something whose ruling is doubtful when there is a clear matter.
