We request a discussion regarding the intercession of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) for those who died in Madinah

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : May Allah reward you with good: There is a hadith of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) regarding the virtue of Madinah:
Whoever among you is able to die in Madinah, let him die there, for I will be his intercessor or witness on the Day of Resurrection من استطاع منكم أن يموت في المدينة فليمت بها أكون له شفيعاً أو شهيداً يوم القيامة
or as he (peace and blessings be upon him) said. Tell us, O Shaykh, about this intercession?

The Shaykh : This intercession is like other intercessions, but this is a specification after a generalization. Otherwise, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would be the intercessor for his entire Ummah, for everyone who did not die upon disbelief. As for the one who died upon disbelief, there is no intercession for him, due to the saying of Allah the Exalted:
and they cannot intercede except on behalf of one whom He approves وَلا يَشْفَعُونَ إِلَّا لِمَنِ ارْتَضَى
[Al-Anbya 21:28]
except for what is specific to whom? To his uncle, Abu Talib.
