My husband orders me to greet his son and shake his hand, even though he is an open sinner and does not pray. What is the ruling?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Yes, may Allah reward you. This questioner says: My husband orders me to greet his son and shake his hand, even though he is an open sinner and does not pray. Should I shake his hand, greet him, and say the greeting to him, knowing that my husband is very angry?

The Shaykh : As for the husband's son, he is a mahram (a relative one may not marry) to his father's wife. It is permissible for her to uncover herself in his presence, to greet him, and to shake his hand. This is except if there is fitnah (trial, discord or temptation) such that we know that this son is a man who cannot be trusted, and it is feared that the woman will be tempted by him or he will be tempted by her. In that case, we prohibit this permissible thing, because if a permissible thing leads to mafsadah (harm), it must be prohibited.
As for the fact that this son does not pray, it is obligatory for his father to order him to pray. If he complies, that is what is required. If he does not comply, it is obligatory to expel him from the house, because one who does not pray is a disbeliever who has committed apostasy from Islam. It is not permissible to leave him in that state. If he dies, he is not washed, not shrouded, no funeral prayer is performed for him, and he is not buried with the Muslims. Yes.
