What is the interpretation of the saying of Allah the Exalted: "He is the First and the Last, the Manifest and the Hidden"?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : And this is another questioner asking about the meaning of the saying of Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He):
He is the First and the Last, the Ascendant and the Intimate هو الأول والآخر والظاهر والباطن
[Al-Hadid 57:3]
.

The Shaykh : Yes, the interpretation of the Qur'an must first be explained by the Qur'an itself; if that is not possible, then by the Sunnah. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) interpreted these four names by saying:
You are the First and there is nothing after You; You are the Last and there is nothing after You. You are the Most High, and there is nothing above You, and You are the Most Near and there is nothing nearer than You. أنت الأول فليس قبلك شيء وأنت الآخر فليس بعدك شيء وأنت الظاهر فليس فوقك شيء وأنت الباطن فليس دونك شيء
Sunan Ibn Majah 3831Sahih (Darussalam)
This means that He encompasses everything, and nothing among the created things stands between Him and it. Yes.

The questioner : May Allah reward you with good.
