(Discussion of the four attributes of Allah: the First and the Last in terms of time, and the Manifest and the Hidden in terms of place, and the interpretation of their meanings) He is the First, He is the Last

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : ... of Allah (Mighty and Majestic) ... "He is the First, He is the Last" this is in terms of time. "He is the Manifest, He is the Hidden"
In terms of place, He (Glorified and Exalted is He) encompasses everything in time and everything in place.
"He is the First, He is the Last" The First is the opposite of the Last, and the Manifest is the opposite of the Hidden. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) himself interpreted them, and he is the most knowledgeable of creation regarding the speech of Allah (Mighty and Majestic). He said (may the prayer and peace of Allah be upon him):
You are the First and there is nothing after You; You are the Last and there is nothing after You. You are the Most High, and there is nothing above You, and You are the Most Near and there is nothing nearer than You. أنت الأول فليس قبلك شيء وأنت الآخر فليس بعدك شيء وأنت الظاهر فليس فوقك شيء وأنت الباطن فليس دونك شيء
Sunan Ibn Majah 3831Sahih (Darussalam)
This is the meaning that admits of no other, for it is the interpretation of the One of Proof, as the author (may Allah have mercy on him) said. He is the First before everything, and everything is after Him, so He is the Last after everything. He is the Manifest above everything, and He is the Hidden with nothing beneath Him, meaning that He encompasses everything, nothing is hidden from Him, and nothing is beyond His power. This is the meaning of the Hidden; it does not mean the Concealed, for concealment is the opposite of manifestation. He (Glorified and Exalted is He) is the clearest of things and the most evident of things. How so? In every thing there is a sign of Him. But the meaning of the Hidden is that He encompasses everything, and nothing is hidden from Him. So there is nothing beneath Him, meaning there is nothing beneath His knowledge, His power, His sovereignty, His hearing, His sight, or any of His attributes. There is nothing beneath Him.
