The meaning of the saying of Allah the Exalted: "But when We remove the distress from him, he passes as if he had not called upon Us because of the distress that had touched him."

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :
but when We remove from him his affliction, he continues [in disobedience] as if he had never called upon Us to [remove] an affliction that touched him فلما كشفنا عنه ضره مر كأن لم يدعنا إلى ضر مسه
[Yunus 10:12]
We ask Allah for well-being. If Allah removes his distress, such as if he was sick and Allah healed him, or if he was poor and Allah enriched him, or if he was childless and Allah granted him children.
he continues [in disobedience] as if he had never called upon Us to [remove] an affliction that touched him مر كأن لم يدعنا إلى ضر مسه
[Yunus 10:12]
. In this is an indication that it is obligatory for a person to thank Allah (Mighty and Majestic) for His blessings.
