Is it permissible to say, “O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and his family, a blessing that will be a cure for us from every ailment”?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : The questioner asks: Is it permissible for me to say, “O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and his family, a blessing that will be a cure for us from every ailment”?

The Shaykh : As for saying, “O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad,” there is no doubt that it is permissible, as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) guided us to it
When they said, “O Messenger of Allah, teach us how to greet you and how to send blessings upon you?” He said: “Say: O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad.” حين قالوا يا رسول الله علمنا كيف نسلم عليك فكيف نصلي عليك؟ فقال : قولوا اللهم صلّ على محمد وعلى آل محمد
.
As for it being a cure for every ailment, I do not know of this. I do not think it is correct, because this is merely a supplication for the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him). You are making a supplication for the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him). How can it be a cure? But al-Fatihah is the cure. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said:
How did you know it was Ruqyah? وما يدريك أنها رقية
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2064Sahih (Darussalam)
meaning al-Fatihah. One minute left, one minute.
