Explanation of the Best Book Interpreting Surat al-Fatihah

The Shaykh : This is Surat al-Fatihah, a great surah. The scope here does not allow for mentioning the many profound points contained within it. However, whoever wishes to learn something of that should refer to *Madaraj al-Salikin fi Sharh Manazil al-Sa'irin* by al-Hafiz Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allah have mercy on him). It contains much good from which the reader benefits greatly, because in his explanation of al-Fatihah he speaks in a manner you will not find in the books of the exegetes or in any other work. It is very great speech. So whoever wishes to expand on that matter should turn to this book, *Madaraj al-Salikin fi Sharh Manazil al-Sa'irin* by Ibn al-Qayyim, one of the students of Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah (may Allah have mercy on him). We bear witness to Allah, Mighty and Majestic, that their Shaykh, Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah, struggled and fought for Allah with his pen, his tongue, and his teeth—meaning the sword. I do not know, up to this moment, a scholar among the well-known imams of the Tabi'un like this man (may Allah have mercy on him and reward him for the Ummah of Muhammad with good). So turn to his books. Read the books of Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah if you want the correct 'aqidah, for it is the best that has been written on 'aqidah, to the best of my knowledge. Turn to it.
