The Meaning of the Saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "O Servants of Allah, be steadfast."

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said:
O servant of Allah! adhere (to the path of Truth).
Sahih Muslim 2937a
When he clarified that this man goes to the right and to the left and roams the earth, he ordered the Ummah to be steadfast. Likewise, a person should be steadfast and firmly rooted during trials, so that storms do not shake him. Allah (Mighty and Majestic) said:
And of the people is he who worships Allah on an edge. If he is touched by good, he is reassured by it; but if he is struck by trial, he turns on his face [to the other direction]. He has lost [this] world and the Hereafter
[Al-Hajj 22:11]
Worships Allah on the edge.
This means he is on the edge, not firmly established in worship. If good befalls him and he does not encounter a trial, he continues in his worship. But if a trial befalls him, he turns on his face, apostatizes and commits open sin, losing this world and the Hereafter. For this reason, he (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
O servant of Allah! adhere (to the path of Truth).
Sahih Muslim 2937a
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) also warned against approaching the Dajjal, saying:
Whoever hears of him, let him keep away from him.
"Yina'" means to keep away from him. A person may come to him while believing or thinking that he is a believer, but the Dajjal will not cease with him until he misguides him and he follows him. Thus, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) warned against approaching him and ordered keeping away from him, even if you think you are a believer, for he may deceive and misguide you, and you may follow him.
