The questioner : May Allah preserve you. He saysThe questioner : There is a woman in our country who seeks the help of Muslim jinn in treating the sick and breaking sorcery. She claims that a jinn from among the jinn comes to her, possesses her, and speaks on her tongue. Then they come to people and prescribe treatment for them. She takes a large fee for this and says that this money is not for her, but for this jinn. She claims that she only does good. It is reported to you that you said you see no harm in that. Please inform us. May Allah bless you.

The Shaykh : The Shaykh of Islam (may Allah have mercy on him) mentioned in several of his books that it is permissible for a righteous man to seek the help of righteous jinn, but with two conditions. The first condition is that he does not seek their help in something forbidden. The second condition is that the means of seeking their help is not forbidden. An example of the first condition is that he does not seek their help in something forbidden, meaning he does not use the jinn to ruin people’s wealth, such as using the jinn to drive away a man’s camels or livestock, or to damage his car, or the like. This is not permissible because this is aggression, and it is not permissible to cooperate in sin and aggression.
What is the second condition? That the means of seeking their help is not forbidden, such that they do not agree to help him unless he associates them with Allah, by saying, “Sacrifice for us” or “Make a vow for us.” Or it is a man who does not help a woman unless she allows him to have sexual relations with her. Or it is a woman whom the jinni does not help, yes, or it is a man whom the jinniyah does not help unless he commits a lewd act with her. This is not permissible. And whoever wants to review this in the words of the Shaykh of Islam, it is found in the Fatawa, it is found in the Book of Prophecies, and it is found in Iyadh al-Dalalah 'ala 'Umm al-Risalah.
