The bowing and what is said in it.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Then, after that, he bows after reciting al-Fatihah and what follows it. He bows by bending to show reverence to Allah (Mighty and Majestic). Bowing has an obligatory aspect and a perfect aspect. The obligatory aspect is for a person to bend such that he is closer to complete bowing than to standing. Some scholars said that he should bend ... such that his hands can touch his knees if his hands are of average length. As for the perfection, it is that he bows and straightens his back with his head, neither raising his head nor lowering it, but his back is level and equal to his head. For this reason, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to do this, to the extent that if water were poured on his back, it would settle on it because it was completely flat. In the bowing, he says: Subhan Rabbi al-Azim (Glory be to my Lord, the Great), based on the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
So far as Ruk'u is concerned, extol in it the Great and Glorious Lord أما الركوع فعظموا فيه الرب
