A word from the Shaykh regarding the innovation of designating the twenty-seventh night for 'Umrah.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : And upon his family and his Companions, and those who follow them with excellence until the Day of Judgment. As for what follows, we will open this session on the morning of Sunday, the twenty-fifth, or the morning of Monday, the twenty-fifth, of the month of Ramadan in the year 1404, by drawing attention to a matter that many people do, which is designating the twenty-seventh night for 'Umrah. Many people seek to perform 'Umrah on this night. Designating this night for performing 'Umrah is a religious innovation (bid'ah). Perhaps you will consider it a great thing that I say designating it is a religious innovation (bid'ah); designating this night for 'Umrah is a religious innovation (bid'ah).
