The questioner : In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Praise be to Allah, and may blessings and peace be upon the Messenger of Allah. And as for what follows, the Islamic Taqwa Recordings in Riyadh are pleased to present the tapes of the lessons and fatwas delivered by our esteemed Shaykh, Muhammad ibn Salih al-Uthaymeen, in the Sacred Mosque during the blessed month of Ramadan of this year, 1420 AH. Allah has made it easy for us to record most of them. We have indexed these tapes and noted the number of each tape at the beginning to facilitate searching. We ask Allah, the Exalted and Almighty, to benefit us all with them and to reward the Shaykh with the best reward. O dear brothers, here is the content of this tape, which is the first tape in this collection.

The Shaykh : In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad, the Seal of the Prophets and the Imam of the righteous, and upon his family and his Companions, and those who follow them with excellence until the Day of Judgment.
As for what follows, O my brothers, we have all listened to what our Imam recited from this great Qur'an, especially Surat Qaf, that great surah which the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to combine with Surat al-Qamar in the major congregations. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to recite these two surahs in the two Eid prayers because of the great admonitions they contain, which soften the hard hearts.
