What is the ruling on one who fasts in his country and then travels to a country whose people fasted a day before him?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : This man says, "We fasted in our country, one day after the Kingdom. What is the ruling in the religion if Ramadan in the Kingdom was 29 days? Would I have only fasted 28 days?"

The Shaykh : Yes, the ruling in this matter, as we see it, and knowledge belongs to Allah (Mighty and Majestic), is that if your fasting in your country was delayed and you arrived in a country that was ahead, and they broke their fast, then break your fast with them, because that is the day of the festival. Even if you only fasted 28 days, you make up one day after the day of the festival. Now, we have finished with that. But if you fasted with a country that was ahead and then traveled to a country that was behind, and you completed 30 days, but the country you arrived in did not see the crescent moon, do you fast because they are fasting, or do you break your fast because you completed 30 days, and the lunar month does not exceed 30 days?
Yes. No. You fast with them, because that day in the place where you are is not the day of the festival, but it is a day of Ramadan. So you fast. How do I fast 31 days? We say: follow the place where you are. Today is not the festival. It is not the day of the festival, so you fast 31 days, following the place. The parallel to this is: you traveled from Pakistan, five minutes before sunset, and the plane took off traveling to Egypt. The time for sunset in Pakistan arrived. Do you break your fast when the time for sunset arrives and you are watching it? Answer, everyone?
Yes, Shaykh? Or did you not understand the question? Is the question clear?
A person traveled from Pakistan, with only sunset remaining, and the plane took off, but when it ascended, the sun was still there. He looked at the clock and said, "It has set in Pakistan now," and he is from Pakistan. Does he break his fast while he is watching the sun, or not?
He does not break his fast. So the day will be longer for him. If he were in Pakistan, he would have fasted 13 hours. Now he will fast 15 hours. We say: fast, the sun has not yet set, so fast. Similarly, for one who arrives in a country and completes 30 days, but the crescent moon was not seen, we say: the month is still ongoing in this country, so fast, even if it exceeds 30 days. May Allah bless you. You are, if Allah wills, trustworthy. He says the time is up, and praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds. And may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and all his Companions.
