Does a person recite the opening supplication in the funeral prayer or not?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : May Allah reward you. This is a question that is asked frequently, O honorable Shaykh. Does a person recite the opening supplication in the funeral prayer or not?

The Shaykh : The well-known view among scholars is that it is not recommended to recite the opening supplication in the funeral prayer. They reasoned this by stating that this prayer is a prayer of haste. Therefore, it does not include bowing, it does not include prostration, it does not include anything beyond reciting Surat al-Fatihah, and it does not include the tashahhud. Consequently, the opening supplication is not recommended in it.
So when you recite the Qur'an, [first] seek refuge in Allah from Satan, the expelled [from His mercy]. فإذا قرأت القرآن فاستعذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم
[An-Nahl 16:98]
And if one adds a short surah to the recitation of al-Fatihah, such as Surat al-Ikhlas, there is no harm. Yes.
