Explaining that seeking knowledge is among the remembrance of Allah (Mighty and Majestic)

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : If a questioner asked, saying, "I am a student of knowledge," and asked whether seeking knowledge is among the remembrance of Allah, what is the answer, my brother? What is the answer?
The student: Seeking knowledge is among the remembrance of Allah.

The Shaykh : And what is it that is among the remembrance of Allah? I asked about seeking knowledge; where did you go? Rest, may Allah bless you. So, seeking knowledge is among the remembrance of Allah, without doubt; indeed, it is among the best of the remembrance. Seeking religious knowledge with a good intention—Imam Ahmad (may Allah have mercy on him) said regarding it: "Nothing is comparable to knowledge". This is the statement of the Imam, the Imam of the people of the Sunnah (may Allah have mercy on him): "Nothing is comparable to knowledge for one whose intention is sound. They said, 'O Abu 'Abd Allah, how is the intention sound?' He said, 'He intends by it to remove ignorance from himself and from others.'" This is a good intention. For this reason, we say that when a student of knowledge searches through a book to read in it, he is remembering Allah; when he repeats his memorized texts, he is remembering Allah.
