Belief in the angels.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :
All of them have believed in Allah and His angels
[Al-Baqarah 2:285]
The angels: They are servants whom Allah (Mighty and Majestic) created to carry out His obedience. And they are, as Allah (Mighty and Majestic) said:
[who] made the angels messengers having wings, two or three or four. He increases in creation what He wills
[Fatir 35:1]
So we believe in the angels in general, and we believe in those whose names we know, specifically. Who knows? Who are those whose names we know?
The student: ... .

The Shaykh : One is Jibril. That is Jibril, and he is the best of the angels, and he is in charge of the revelation.
The student: ... .

The Shaykh : And the second is Israfil: he is in charge of blowing the Trumpet. May Allah reward you.
The student: ... .

The Shaykh : And the third: Mikail: in charge of?
The student: ... .

The Shaykh : Yes, yes. Rest.
The student: The rain.

The Shaykh : We add your answer to the brother's answer, so he is in charge of the rain and vegetation.
Did the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) combine these three in one hadith? Yes.
The student:
O God, the Lord of Gabriel, Michael and Israfil, the Creator of the heavens and the earth, who knowest the unseen and the seen, Thou decidest among Thy servants concerning their differences. Guide me on account of different opinions regarding the truth by Thy permission; verily Thou guidest whom Thou wilt to a straight path.
Mishkat al-Masabih 1212

The Shaykh : Well done. Rest. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) combined these three in the opening of the night prayer. He says in the opening of the night prayer:
O God, the Lord of Gabriel, Michael and Israfil, the Creator of the heavens and the earth, who knowest the unseen and the seen, Thou decidest among Thy servants concerning their differences. Guide me on account of different opinions regarding the truth by Thy permission; verily Thou guidest whom Thou wilt to a straight path.

Allah is the Greatest! The Messenger says:
Guide me to the disputed matters of truth by Your Leave
Sunan Ibn Majah 1357Sahih (Darussalam)
So what about us, who are prone to error and mistake! Most people, when they say something, say, "This is the truth, and anything else is wrong." Glory be to Allah! Do you not know whether you have been guided to the truth in which there is disagreement by the permission of Allah? You do not know. You are not infallible; you may err and you may hit the mark. And if the Prophet (may the prayer and peace of Allah be upon him) asked his Lord this question, then it is fitting for us to ask Allah this question, especially when a question is put to us. A person should turn to Allah (Mighty and Majestic) with his heart, his tongue, and his state, asking Him to guide him to the truth, because the mufti, my brothers, is a spokesperson for whom? For Allah. He is a spokesperson for Allah. So the matter is not light. And unfortunately, some people today race to issue fatwas, each trying to be the one to issue the ruling, when they do not have the knowledge that makes them qualified to issue fatwas. The righteous Salaf raced in issuing fatwas and did not shun them? They shunned them. Each one would say, "Go to the other," because a person fears, and by Allah, we fear issuing fatwas. If it were not for the fact that a person fears concealing knowledge, or that the questioner might go to an ignorant person who would issue a ruling for him, a person would refrain from issuing fatwas to be safe. But if one is asked for a ruling and he has knowledge, then his not proceeding to issue the ruling is not safety, but it is ruin.
Now, these three, the Messenger (may the prayer and peace of Allah be upon him) mentioned them in the opening of the night prayer.
