A man returns from his journey: does he shorten the prayer before entering his town?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : All right, a person returned from a journey and shortened the prayer between al-Bada'iyah and Unayzah. Is his shortening valid?

The Shaykh : And he is from al-Bada'iyah, for example.

The questioner : No, is he from Unayzah?

The Shaykh : Yes, if a traveler returns from his journey, he may shorten the prayer until he enters his town. Even if there are only ten meters left between him and his town, he shortens the prayer. Likewise, if he leaves his town, even if he has only gone ten meters, he shortens the prayer.
