Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : May the Shaykh be honored, my mother made a vow to slaughter three sheep.

The Shaykh : To do what?

The questioner : My mother made a vow.

The Shaykh : Yes.

The questioner : She vowed to slaughter three sheep and fulfilled the vow, and her intention at that time was to cook them. What is the solution: should she cook them or distribute them?

The Shaykh : Since she intended to cook them and distribute them cooked, she should act according to her intention, based on the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
The reward of deeds depends upon the intentions and every person will get the reward according to what he has intended. إنما الأعمال بالنيات وإنما لكل امرئ ما نوى
