The reciter: Muhammad ibn Yusuf narrated to us, saying: Sufyan narrated to us from Humaid from Anas, saying: Sahih al-Bukhari 241, its full version is from Ibn Abi Maram, he said: Yahya ibn Ayyub informed us, saying: Humaid narrated to me, saying: I heard Anas from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
The Shaykh : These are the excretions of a human being. He (may Allah have mercy on him) says: "The chapter on spitting and mucus and the like in a garment", meaning is it ritually impure or not?
Then he mentioned the hadith of the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah, and that the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) were with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):Sahih al-Bukhari 2731, 2732.
And you know that in the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) was prevented by the polytheists, out of the arrogance of the pre-Islamic age of ignorance, from reaching Mecca, even though if Laka' ibn Laka' had come to perform the lesser pilgrimage, the polytheists would not have prevented him. But the arrogance of the pre-Islamic age of ignorance necessitated that they prevent him, and correspondence took place between them.
And the Prophet (may the prayer and peace of Allah be upon him) forbade a man to stand over another man as the non-Arabs do over their kings, except on that day. For al-Mughirah ibn Shu'bah (may Allah be pleased with him) was standing over the head of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) with a sword, out of respect and honor. And whenever he spoke, no one spoke, and when he spat, they would catch it in their hands and rub it on their faces and chests. They did not do this on ordinary days, but to annoy the polytheists, for anything that annoys the polytheists is a reward for you with Allah, as Allah the Exalted said:[At-Tawbah 9:120].
In this hadith, there is evidence that phlegm is pure, and likewise everything that comes out of a human being, except what comes out of the rear passage, which is ritually impure. So what comes out of the mouth, nose, ear, eye, and skin, all of this is pure, except what comes out of the two passages. And regarding blood, you know the scholarly disagreement mentioned previously: is it pure or ritually impure?
And he also cited as evidence another hadith, the hadith of Anas:Sunan Abi Dawud 2998Sahih (Al-Albani), its full version is from Ibn Abi Maram, meaning he narrated it in full. This is what appears to me. What does the commentary say about "its full version"?
The Prophet (ﷺ) once spat in his clothes.

nor do they tread on any ground that enrages the disbelievers, nor do they inflict upon an enemy any infliction but that is registered for them as a righteous deed. Indeed, Allah does not allow to be lost the reward of the doers of good.
