How to reconcile the hadith: (I will give the banner tomorrow to a man) with the saying of Allah the Exalted: ((And do not say for anything, "I will do that tomorrow"))?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : We reconcile the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)
Tomorrow I will give the flag to somebody لأعطينّ الراية غداً رجلاً
Sahih al-Bukhari 3009
with the saying of Allah the Exalted
(23) And never say of anything, "Indeed, I will do that tomorrow," (24) Except [when adding], "If Allah wills." ولا تقولن لشيء إني فاعل ذلك غداً إلا أن يشاء الله
[Al-Kahf 18:23-24]
. This is a sound question. The reconciliation is that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) reported what was in his heart; his intention was to give the banner to a man. As for the verse, the prohibition is against a person saying "I will do it" as if he is reporting on an action, when he does not know whether it will be completed or not. So the first is a report about what is in his heart, and the second, which contains the prohibition, is a prohibition against the action itself. For this reason, if someone asked, "Where are you going tomorrow?" and I said, "I am going to the university," what is this? It is a report about my intention and desire. But if I said, "I am going to the university" in the sense that I will actually go, we would say, do not say it that way; do not be certain about a future action... come over here, there is space here, yes.
The reader: In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon his family and all his Companions. As for what follows:
The brother Abd al-Rahman ibn Dawud said: In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, and may peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah and upon his family and all his Companions.
