Explanation of the words of Imam al-Nawawi (may Allah have mercy on him) regarding what he quoted: "

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
These are the three hadiths that the author (may Allah have mercy on him) quoted from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). As for the first: it is that he (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
He who went towards the mosque in the morning or evening, Allah would arrange a feast for him morning or evening in Paradise.
Sahih Muslim 669
*Ghada* means: to go in the morning, that is, to go at the beginning of the day, such as going to the mosque for the Fajr prayer. Or *Raha*; *al-Rawah* is used for what is after the sun passes its zenith, such as going for the Zuhr or Asr prayer. And *al-Rawah* may be used for simply going, as in the words of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in the hadith of Abu Hurayrah:
Whoever bathes on Friday and goes in the first hour
to the end of the hadith. So the meaning of *Raha* in the first hour is: he went to the mosque in the first hour. But when the morning is mentioned with the evening, the morning becomes the beginning of the day and the evening becomes the end of the day. The apparent meaning of the hadith is that whoever goes to the mosque in the morning or in the evening, whether he goes for prayer, for seeking knowledge, or for any other purpose of good, Allah will write for him a lodging in Paradise. And *al-Nuzul* is what is presented to a guest of food and the like as a sign of honor. That is, Allah the Exalted promises for this man who went to the mosque in the morning or in the evening, He promises for him a lodging in Paradise as an honor for him. So in this hadith is the establishment of this great reward for whoever goes to the mosque at the beginning of the day or at its end. And in it is an explanation of the favor of Allah, Mighty and Majestic, upon the servant, where He gives him this abundant reward for such minor deeds. And as for his second hadith, it is the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
None of you should look down upon the gift sent by her female neighbor even if it were the trotters of the sheep (fleshless part of legs).
Sahih al-Bukhari 2566
meaning: that the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) in this hadith encouraged giving a gift to the neighbor, even if it is a small thing. He said:
Even if it is just the foreleg of a sheep
*Al-Fursan* is what is in the hoof of the sheep, and it is a simple, insignificant thing. It is as if the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is saying: Do not belittle anything, do not belittle anything from kindness, even if it is little. And it was reported from him (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said:
If you cook a broth, make it plentiful with water and check on your neighbors
Even the broth; if you give it to your neighbors as a gift, you will be rewarded for it. Likewise, do not belittle anything, even if it is meeting your brother with a pleasant face, for this is from kindness. If you do not meet your brother with a frowning, gloomy face, but with a cheerful, open face, then this is from good and kindness, because when your brother faces you with this face, joy enters him and he is happy. And everything that brings joy to your Muslim brother is good and a reward. And everything that angers the disbeliever is good and a reward. Allah the Exalted said:
nor do they tread on any ground that enrages the disbelievers, nor do they inflict upon an enemy any infliction but that is registered for them as a righteous deed
[At-Tawbah 9:120]
