(An Exposition of Tusi's Treachery against the Muslims and His Malice) But the cursed one knew that this is not within the scope of power or possibility

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : He says: "But the cursed one knew that this is not within the scope of power or possibility
Except if the Caliph is killed"

"The cursed one" means Nasir al-Din al-Tusi, and he described him as "cursed" because he is truly cursed, for his action is the action of the devils. The word "cursed" can be either a supplication or a statement of fact. If it is a supplication, he has deserved the curse because he died upon disbelief. If it is a statement of fact, he is worthy of it.
"Except if the Caliph and the judges are killed, and the rest of the jurists in the lands
So he strived for that"

Strived for what? Killing the Caliph, the judges, and the jurists. You heard in the previous lesson what happened: he suggested that the Caliph, along with the judges, the nobles, and the notables, should advance. He and Ibn al-Alqami suggested that the Caliph advance with the judges, nobles, and notables. When he turned to King Hulagu, he separated the Caliph from these judges, nobles, and notables, and they were killed. Then he negotiated with the king, then returned, and then the end came in the second round. He said:
"So he strived for that and aided the divine decree with the matter which is the wisdom of the Most Merciful"
Allahu Akbar! He aided the divine decree, the decree of Allah the Exalted, which is the wisdom of the Most Merciful. Allah the Exalted does nothing except for a wisdom. That means that disliked things and great calamities may occur, but the One who decreed them is Allah, and Allah the Exalted does not decree anything except for a wisdom.
