The Meaning of the Poet's Statement: (Mentioning the places of elevation in the Qur'an with the phrase that Allah is in the sky, and the interpretation of the one who denies the attributes regarding them, and the refutation of him) And indeed it came in Surat al-Mulk

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : The sixth is that Allah is in the sky, and this came in Surat al-Mulk
Do you feel secure that He who [holds authority] in the heaven would not cause the earth to swallow you أأمنتم من في السماء أن يخسف بكم الأرض
[Al-Mulk 67:16]
Or do you feel secure that He who [holds authority] in the heaven would not send against you a storm of stones أم أمنتم من في السماء أن يرسل عليكم حاصبا
[Al-Mulk 67:17]
For this reason he said
"And indeed it came in Surat al-Mulk, which *** saves its reader from the fires"
"Two texts that Allah is above His sky *** for the one who distorts, they are not two texts"
A text means evidence, clear evidence. For this reason it is called a text, taken from the platform of the bride on which she sits on the wedding night, and it is raised high. So the meaning of a text is the apparent meaning of the word. But for the one who distorts, they are not two texts, because he says
Do you feel secure that He who [holds authority] in the heaven أأمنتم من في السماء
[Al-Mulk 67:16]
"Are you secure from the One in the sky? His dominion is not..." It is not, and without doubt this is distortion, because His saying
Do you feel secure that He who [holds authority] in the heaven أأمنتم من في السماء
[Al-Mulk 67:16]
the relative pronoun refers to the one
The student: ...

The Shaykh : to Allah, not to other than Him. So if we say "the One in the sky, His dominion," it means that the relative clause refers to other than its antecedent. The relative clause refers to the antecedent, and the antecedent is Allah.
those within the heavens من في السماء
[Ali 'Imran 3:83]
"The One" is a relative pronoun that refers to Allah (Mighty and Majestic). So the One in the sky is not His dominion, but He is Allah Himself. As for His dominion,
to Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth فلله ملك السماوات والأرض
[Al-Baqarah 2:107]
But the one who distorts, and may Allah protect us from that, when Allah sealed his heart, he came to not see the truth as truth, but to see falsehood as truth. Otherwise, the matter is clear, and praise be to Allah. So this verse is a type of... the number is upon you
The student: Sixth

The Shaykh : Sixth, by indicating the elevation of Allah, and Allah knows best
The reciter: "And indeed the specification with 'at' came, which *** we said with seven, but it came with eight"
"Of which two explicit places in Surat al- *** A'raf, then the second is al-Anbiya'"
"So reflect on the specification and see what *** for other than it, the two texts do not require"
"And in Surat al-Tahrim also a third *** apparent to one who has two ears"
"And in his [the Prophet's] Muzzammil, it has been clarified *** the intended meaning itself, and restricted by explanation"

The Shaykh : Restricted and not restricted
The reciter: "And in his [the Prophet's] Muzzammil, it has been clarified *** the intended meaning itself, and restricted by explanation, no"

The Shaykh : Do not break the rest
The reciter: "Do not break the rest, so for the one who denies the attributes *** there is no rest in it, nor clarification"
"And in Surat al-Shura and in Muzzammil *** a great secret, its affair is of great importance"
"In the mention of the splitting of the sky, so whoever seeks *** knowledge of it, He is the Near, the Close"
"The later scholars did not permit its transmission *** out of cowardice and weakness in faith"
"But the earlier scholars said it, the knights of *** Islam, they are the princes of this affair"
"And Muhammad ibn Jarir ***"
